Can anyone recommend anything good to grind on level 26+? Or around that general area. Thanks!

I'm r25 and what is this?

I fail on making buffalo leather 1/2.
Its impossible to get tanning training because I fail on r20 leves that give me guildmarks because I don't have tanning training because I don't have guildmarks.

Dodovamps now give me sh*t and waste my precious windshards.

@#%^ you too SE.

Sorry for the rant, I had to vent the steam somewhere.

You have like.... one whole local levequest that would even need Tanning Training. If you're failing all your Rank 20+ leves that isn't the reason why.

Dodoskin Cesti Covers
http://ffxiv.zam.com/en/recipe.html?ffxivrecipe=1939

gives 600-700 at the end of r26.
It isn't too difficult to find 2 stacks of each material, or make them. The bronze spikes are a r2 Armorer Recipe. Grind it out to r28-29.

I'm only rank 27 and I'm having great success with dyed buff leather right now. I have a +1 Iron Round Knife & use Master Buff and am easily getting an 80% success rate. The vamps & covers are good for sp too but you're wasting your mats doing those when you can get just as much sp on the dyed leather and at the same time stockpile mats for later synths ^^
