For the mages do you still buy scrolls to learn spells or do you get them by leveling? I dont understand how people change jobs/the class by changing your gear? or main weapon? Some one i know said they think you can earn different abilites for different jobs?? Can MNK get the abitly to provoke?ect ect Is there subjobs?
Sorry for all the questions if anyone can help that would be amazing! I played FFXI for 5 years it was amazing (Insane from Bahamut) i hope this game becomes amazing aswell.

No you automatically get your abilities as you rank up apart from some of the job abilities which are quested. To change a class you simply equip the weapon for that class. All jobs have access to some abilies from other classes and you will only be able to equip them as you level up.
