Will wand wear effect skill exp gain?Follow

Notice as I get higher in lvl, that -skill gain per hit has decreased- on the same color of mob (not talking about the same type of mob, obviously that will go down). I am wondering if its because my wand always seems to be pretty worn after a few unlucky deaths, disconnections etc

Might be my imagination, but I believe gear damage does affect SP gain
75% condition on wand against Green Con Mob = 180-300+ SP
50% Condition Green mob = 150-255+ SP
25% Condition Green Mob = 0-150+ SP
thats what I have experienced, and I do alot of Solo playing

I do my own repairs usually and i've noticed more skillups after repairing my wand back to 100%.

So there may well be something in what you say.

I believe damage has an effect on SP gain, if your lucky to get any. Still mostly random, but since wand/staff wear supposedly effects damage, then it would stand to reason it would ultimately effect SP gain as well. Following the same reasoning, does INT have an impact on SP gain? I have playing under this assumption, but SP gain seem sh*tty regardless of what I do, except for that once-in-several-hours mob that will actually award more than 200 SP

I can 100% confirm that having a broken weapon (i.e. all the way down to heavy gear damage) drastically reduces damage done and, consequently, skill point gain.

I strongly suggest leveling carpentry as you go, or buying 3-4 copies of your weapon.
