Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem when casting Sacrifice it says it as a AoE effect but when i cast it to me or another player it only regens them or me not the entire party. All persons are in range too.

This may seem a dumb question, but you do have AoE turned on right? I've found no such issue as the one you are reporting :)

Apart from having AoE on you need to be facing the person/ people you want to heal. Sacrifice is a frontal cone AoE.

I find the best option is turn AoE on, cast Sacrifice on myself and then run around and position myself where I am needed. Especially if it's a leve quest where there are 2 mobs that AoE and you have 2 tanks tanking them not too close together.

Fun times! lol

As far as I am aware, Sacrifice is an circular AoE centred on your target. Evidenced today by me standing between two party members, one to my rear and one ahead of me, and curing myself hit both party members also. If it was a conal spell it would not affect the player behind me.

You do need to be facing the initial target of the spell however, so I agree with that.

yes, that's what I meant - whereas with Cure, you do not need to be facing your target. Sorry if that was confusing >.<

See I thought that to, but, last night I cast Sacrifice on a friend with another of our party members about 2 - 3 clicks to the right and the sacrifice hit me and him, but, my friend and the target was at max range...

I'm pretty sure it's conical and is it just me or does it seem to always heal you now when you target others with it being an aoe as long as they are in your party?

It is definitely a frontal cone. I played my off spec THM yesterday while grinding with a friend expecting it to be a 100% circular AoE, however, after playing around with it and testing it we realized it was just a frontal cone.

All spells cast by a THM are frontal AEO cone. Your range is quite far, but only party members in a cone in front of you will be cured. It doesn't matter if you are casting Sacrifice or Cure or Stoneskin. THM is frontal cone only. Same goes for all attack spells. Spells cast as a CON are AOE circular around the target. The AOE circle doesn't extend as far distance-wise as the THM cone.

I shouldnt really say this because I don't want to annoy any CON's out there but I find it quite comical that some CON's have to stand right up to where the mele are to cure the party, often getting hit by AOE/Debuffs along the way. Us THM's can usually stand far enough back to avoid these things.

Con AOE=circular small aoe on target
Thm AOE=HUGE very wide frontal cone with long distance AOE, cone will always start from yourself no metter who you chose to cast it on, making it much easier to simply stand far back and grab all party members with your heals, just make sure to tell the party to try to be infront of you, usually archers will be behind you so let them know to be in front, you might ask why. my personal opinion is that i rather, i get the aggro from behind if any instead of the archer which it would be troublesome if your healing forward and then archer gets hit behind you aswell.

Cure and Sacrifice will have theyr aoe accomodated according to weather you cast it with THM or CON.
