I loved playing as my Hume WHM in XI, but in the back of my mind I always knew the Tarutaru race was much better suited and they always had much more MP.
My question is I 100% want to go down Conjurer route but Hyur vs Lalafell? Which should I choose to have a chance at being best Conjurer? Or will Hyur give me opportunity to be more rounded in the future?
And there ARE starting stats btw

The starting stats seem so minuscule in difference, I think you'll survive regardless of which race you choose. The stats you choose as you level are more important in my opinion.

The difference in starting stats is very small, I'd say it's only noticeable if your physical level is <5 or so.
You can practically cancel out the racial stat differences at level 2.
I doubt racial stats are going to make a difference at all.

With the ability to add and adjust points to your various stats, race is no longer an issue in this version of Final Fantasy.

I was thinking about a Hellsgaurd as they are supposed to be better with the magic but I dunno if it matters. was hoping someone would have some testing data or info in that regaurd. See if there is any noticable difference. From the sound of how ppl are pumping the int/mnd/pty, it seems to have no diff what you choose.

100% sure of what, being able to move stats around? yes every stat past your base stats can be moved around depending on your cooldowns
A lalafell will always have more int and piety I believe than any other race, assuming they use stat points equally. If you are a min-maxer pick lalafell. It is a miniscule difference, but min-maxers are ridiculous by nature. Me being one of them. :)
Yeah ironically even for min/maxers lala still aren't superior as a mage. The race with highest INT at start is actually Duskwight Elezen. Go figure...
But yeah like what's been said here, it doesn't even matter. If you end up sucking as a Conjurer I guarantee you it's not because of your character's race.

how u see fit.
Then in a year when people become nit pickers and say this is the ideal
set up and everyone bandwagons u'll anyways spend hours re adjusting stats lol
