Yes! but unfortunately I cant remember name as Im currently offline awaiting end of mainenance. The Lalafel is on the outer rim of the city very near the larger of the two markets (the one where the woodworkers are. He'll repair your gear up to 50% of its original state.

There's a small guy near one of the gates. But supposedly, he only repairs your weapon to 50%.

I've been trying to repair my weathered scepter myself but been having problems. I have a copper nugget, a smith hammer, a carpenters saw, and I keep getting a message that I cannot repair as the current class. Has anyone been able to repair their own scepter?

The NPC's name is Gogorano. One of the patches changed it so that he can repair things up to 75%, so that icon will actually go away now!

Copper Scepter (Goldsmith 5)
1x Animal Glue
1x Copper Ingot
1x Marbled Eye
3x Fire Shard
5x Ice Shard

Marbled Eye (Goldsmith 1; still very very hard to make)
1x Elemental Type Stone
2x Water Shard
1x Wind Crystal (Crystal not Shard)

I already able to make the Maple Wands for Conjurer. I also was lucky enough to craft up a Willow Wand. I wish I know how to make Growth Forumla Beta since using that make a far superior maple & willow wands. I'm going to try my hand with the Copper Scepter and Bone Staff.

Which scepter or staff did you pickup?

It was a copper one - gave me +2 physical attack and quite a big boost magic attack. In three Betas it was my first Scepter so I don't mind paying! :)

I decided to put away my kick booty Willow Wand. After an hour of grinding on mobs for Wind Shards, the wand was damaged down to 40% life. So what did I do? I switched to Carpenter job and whipped out a handy-dandy bottle of Growth Formula Alpha to repair it. Too bad the game said I wasn't skilled enough to repair it. WTF? I can make it but can't repair it? So I went back to the basic repair vendor and it chanrged me 6,500gil just to partially repair it.

So I put away my Willow Wand and broke out my trusty Maple Wand. It too was sitting at 40% life so I whipped out a handy-dandy bottle of Growth Formula Alpha to repair it. Ta-da! The Maple wand was back to 100%.

I'm sitting at Goldsmith rank 9-1/2, so later today I'll try my hand with making some Thaum scepters & bone staff.

^ Rubina what level were you when you made the willow wand? My JP friend made mine and he was 15 when I got mine made from him and 18 when I got a few more done. Im assuming the maple can be made by lvl 7 or 8.

I started to mass producte the Maple Wands at around rank-7. I had a few forumal left after creating 10 maple wands so I decided to try my hand at willow since I was rank-9 now. 1 success and 2 fails but I managed to create one. But I probably won't attempt willow until rank-15.

No. I might have been foolish, but I was trying to cap my leveling to rank-10 in crafts so I don't get too attached to the character. Now I'm seeing players crafting up some real nifty items including wands & staves made with Growth Formula Beta. So I decided to start over with a new alt in Gridina and just level Carpentry and then Alchemy.

I got my alchemy up to rank 11 so far and alpha was still quite tough to make - beta was part of one of the Rank 15 levequests but I did manage to make a couple. Would imagine the success rate at rank 10 is pretty low though. It doesnt help when you cant get access to Chemicking, physicking etc.

It would be really useful if we could list here the types of items that you need to repair a THM weapon and the level of crafting you need to be, also where you can purchase the items or which mobs drop them. It would be great to know this information in advance so that in future people could tailor the craft to their THM

Weapon name:
Item required:
Craft/s required:
Rank/s:
Location of item:
     *NPC vendor:
     *Mob:

Something like this could serve as a template.

Here goes my first:

Weapon name:Copper Scepter
Item required:Copper Nugget
Craft/s required:Goldsmithing
Rank/s:5
Location of item:
     *NPC vendor:Doesdornn, Ul'Dah, 400gil
     *Mob:Hammering the Point : Rank 1 Bonus reward (100+) : 4x copper nuggets
