Looks like some staves were added at the bottom of the list!
I'm sure there will be some in the open beta but were there weapon shops in phase 3? if so, where? if not, how could you upgrade?

Conjurer does star with a staff. Only weapons I saw to buy from bazaars for conjurer were wands though. Nice thing is using a shield with a wand.

Guessing these links died when the database was pulled. Luckily some people had already grabbed it. OK so in beta3 there were no weapon shops. I expect Open Beta to parallel the live game and would be surprised if there are no weapon vendors. If there aren't any you are going to want to get to know a Carpenter pretty sharpish. The lvl 22 willow wand is a significant first upgrade and you'll be needing it repaired a couple of times before you out level it most likely. The cost in beta3was anything from about 20k Gil to 70 k Gil on Emporer server which reflected the crafting levels needed (alchemy sub needed). Best hope there's a weapon shop?

I think it's safe to assume there will be staves in at least some form. They can't stiff us on our HQ elemental staves! :p

We actually get our element staves (/wands:)) earlier than 11. And level wise it appears to alternate between wands and staves (at least initially). Since it appears to be nearly 20 before staves can be synthed, and the Maple Wand is cake to synth, and usable for quite a few levels, everyone is running with those for now.
Still looking for the recipe for the budding wands... Want to get those going as soon as possible once the game starts:).

Actually Elm Canes can be created around rank.10-15 Carpentry. Both of my Conjurers are using Elm Canes. I even made a Willow Wand at rank.10 Carpentry & rank.9 Alchemy except for some reason I can't reapir it. I must have been very lucky in synthing it if I can't repair it.
Budding wands are created with Growth Formula Beta which you can synth at Alchemy rank-15. I'm not sure what the carpentry rank is a good time to create them. I'm guessing 15. Maple Budding Wand has a optimal rank of 12.
at rank 8 carpentry and rank 10 alchemy I made a Maple wand +1, and I have tried multiple variations of ingredients and haven't made a budding wand yet:(.

Looks like we need to track down humus. The recipe from lodestone requires us to sacrifice our current weapon (I wonder if it's condition at the time of synth influences it's synth stats...)

Once we have that created, we can than sacrifice that to make our first series of elemental wands. Looks like it's going to be around lvl 20 carpenter + lvl 20 (ok listed as 11-20) Alchemist).
From the looks of it, it is easy enough to make the elemental wands (assuming that you know a 20+ Goldsmith capable of HQing on your elemental rocks, or you upped three crafts just for this dang synth like me...).
Sad that you have to be twice the level on 3 crafts to make your conjurer weapons, but meh, go figure.
Also sad that at the same level I can make my ./Hack staff:) (see Pastoral Elm Cane)
