Ok, so up until 53, I've been fishing up shall shells in Buburimu and selling them to the guild for a good bit of money and skill-ups. Now that I'm capped on shells, I've started looking for other good skill-up fish that I can sell for a good bit and came across Silver Sharks. The only problem is that I can't seem to find a good spot to fish them up. Everywhere I go, I always get 5 or 6 "you didn't catch anything." in a row.

Is this normal for sharks? If not, where is the best place to fish them up?

Forgot to mention that I've tried fishing them up in Sauromugue, Battalia Downs, and the ships to and from Selbina using meatballs.

If you don't own a Lu、I am pretty sure Sharks classify as small 'large' fish. Before I sold my Lu I would always get them on the Selbina Mhaura ships with Slices of Bluetail.

My advice is if you have a Lu, just stock up on Bluetail, head off to yar boat and ride it back and fourth, fishing up Marlins for some gil / skills ( Cap at 61 as I remember) Or to turn in for maps. And then your pesky little sharks will come with them as well.

I warn you, sharks are fiesty lil buggers on the line. Jumpy jumpy. Although nowhere near that B-tard Ryugu /glare

Tip for reeling in tougher fish... if you're using Windower while you fish, stop. When you're running windower there's a minor amount of lag while fishing that makes things considerably more difficult.

Yes, the ferry is the best. I find they bite meatballs more than bluetail, but getting marlins and gutting them for charts is nice too. Plus meatballs also attract some larger fish like Ryugu Titan and Titanictus. If you don't have a Lu Shang's or Ebisu rod, forget about reeling in those big ones, they'll snap a weaker rod.
