Hello all,

I want to preface this by saying that I did read the stickies but I still have a question about this synth. In your opinion, what is the best craft skill setup to HQ these bullets?

Thanks

You can never break Tier 3 on this recipe, since that would require Alchemy 103 and Goldsmithing 75. So the best you can do is 25% HQ rate with Alchemy 83 and Goldsmithing 55.

Skilling up Goldsmithing in the 50s is a big, BIG gil sink. So I would suggest taking Goldsmithing up to just 52 and relying on Advanced Image Support for the remaining 3 levels.

General speaking,
for any synth that need more than one skill,
the synthesis rate (fail and HQ rate) is calculate on your lower skill(comparing to the respective skill cap).
If it need 80 and 50, if you only get "79 and >50" or ">80 and 49" you will be still in the lower tier.

Silver Bullet cap is Alchemy (52), Goldsmithing (24)
thats man you need Alchemy (103), Goldsmithing (75) to reach the highest HQ tier, which is impossible.

As mentioned, therefore, you only need Alchemy 83 AND Goldsmithing 55 to get the best result.

It's not a gil sink to skill goldsmithing in the 50s to get to t2 HQ.
You'd have alchemy, skill it up a bit more, then skillup making gold nuggets. Then take the gold nuggets and get to 54 goldsmithing. Get the +1 goldsmithing glasses and you have t2 hq wherever you go.

And before someone says something about panacea, skillup alchemy even more, or find a friend with high enough alchemy and have them make them for you.
