Hey guys ive just come off synthing pear au laits cos its capped now at 72 (thats right innit?) and gone onto pamamas as the guide im following states but im getting break after break after break and im getting seriously pissed off now ive broke almost 6 stacks of ingreds for 2 synths and 0-0.1 skil up ;.;
So does anyone have any advice or tell me im doing it wrong before i hang up my apron for good lol

You are doing it wrong.
Do not blindly following guides on skilling up craftskills (don't even blindly follow my suggestions .... evaluate it yourself).
You need to evaluate the feasibility of your skillup path.
Going from cooking 72 -> pamamas au lait isn't a great move in my opinion.
I would probably do the following:
Rabab meatballs cap at 76
Panama au lait (81)
Marron Glace (86)
Rolanberry Pie (90)
Rice Dumpling (95)
combination of synths to 100.

Currently Marron Glace is your best option, because you can get all the ingredients cheaply at the NPC vendor on the west side of the South Sandy AH or at the Rainbow Market in the same zone. The NPC price for Marron Glace is pretty decent so you will not lose that much gil in total.

Yeah ok,lesson learned lol thanks guys. The damn guide has beed spot on up till now tho ;.;
Just because you can skill off a synth doesn't mean you have a good chance of making it. Remember you can attempt any synth if you're within 15 levels of cap. I did pamama au laits as soon as i finished with pear myself, and even with a hocho i broke quite a few. I didn't care though. I'm "power leveling."
