Blue Racing Silks Effect DataFollow

Behold, it is the return of your Chocobo sage with new information following the update!

Please share any of your own data or theories regarding the effect of the Blue Racing Silks. The written effect of these is: Enhances Chocobo digging endurance.

If one digs on a chocobo with these on, you may sometimes receive the message:

"It appears your chocobo found this item with ease".

The above message can be obtained on either a rental or a personal chocobo. The rarity of the item does not affect the chance of getting this message.

Pre rollover I dug 80 digs with the message, 70 without. I was surprised by the performance, which allowed me to make it to a total of 150 digs, implying that digs for which you get the first message do not count towards the 100 dig limit at all.

After rollover this was confirmed by a 90:100 dig ratio, which cemented the hypothesis that the activation rate on the silks is 50%.

My digging is A10, but I doubt that the activation rate is affected by that. It certainly appears that it is not affected by whether or not one is using personal chocobo or not, and therefore not by the abilities of the chocobo.

In short, this gear can be considered to effectively double the capacity of their wearer to dig in any given Earth day period.

I bought the sky blue silk(the one that enhances chococo Digging) and being a A10 digger myself after 4 days of using it, i haven t noticed an improvement on the qualities of what i dig.

Maybe someone who is not A10 MIGHT notice an improvement, i ll keep on testing it since i don t think 4 days is a big enough sample.

Sky Blue Racing Silks is worthless to an A10 digger. The effect is to allow lower lvl diggers who wear it to skillup/level faster. Skill dows not refer to the items you dig up. You want the Blue Racing Silks.

My results for first day digging with Blue racing silk:

Total successful digs :241
Digs without message :99
Digs with message(free):142 "It appears your chocobo found this item with ease"

Zones : both Jungles
Skill : A10
Bird : bred for digging only, dyed black

99 was probably a miscount.
I believe that we still get fatigue after 100 "no-message" successful digs.
Digs with the new message do not count towards digging fatigue and are therefore free successful digs.

So my digging went from 100 to 242. It feels a bit like the old days :).

I imagine that the number of free digs is dictated by your overall digging accuracy.

Overall digging accuracy may well be a combination of:
- zone digging difficulty (zone evasion?)
- bird digging accuracy
- gear digging accuracy (dont know of any yet)
- personal digging skill
- weather/day of week

I now have my first 3 days results after getting my Blue Racing Silk:

All digging in Jungles, A10

The first day's 241 digs is starting to look a bit exceptional after the next 2 days came out very close to 200.

I had not been digging for several months before the first day, so I suppose there could be some sort of inactivity bonus similar to getting an extra dig in Hot and Cold after a day is missed. Alternatively it could be something like moon phase/day/weather. It's not gear or chocobo related.
