The skill is now listed, but we won't be able to do synergy until the next update, which SE said could be as early as late November (i.e. they're not making any promises).

I'm sure they are going to release those armors. Those would be the synergys guild point items.

The only difference I can see between the smock and the apron are the extra elemental energy and Synergy Damage Taken-25%...

Gonna do wonders to all my crafting mules...all tarutarus, lvl 1 all jobs, highest hp is mnk at 29 hp. I think even that smock cant save them....

I'm wondering how SE is going to introduce those synergy gears.

The body pieces could be an upgrade on the aprons, but the cuffs can't, since leather, smithing and woodworking have crafting gloves with +1 skill (which is missing on the synergy cuffs). That means that the mentioned crafts will always be at a 1 skill penalty between skill 100 crafters.

Alchemy: apron/smock + club + cuffs
Bonecraft: apron/smock + glasses + cuffs
Clothcraft: apron/smock + glasses + cuffs
Cooking: apron/smock + hat + cuffs
Goldsmithing: apron/smock + glasses + cuffs

Leatherworking: apron/smock + gloves/cuffs
Smithing: apron/smock + gloves/cuffs
Woodworking: apron/smock + gloves/cuffs

I'm Convinced Tier 1 Crafting is broken, especially at 100. I have not had a tier 1 synth go HQ in a long F`ing time since update. Anyone else experiencing this??

Not quite sure what the hell this has to do with Synergy. However I thought I would answer your question.

No, you're wrong. I have got T1 HQ.
Maybe you're hopping on your left foot instead of your right foot? And make sure you only spin around 3 times, any more than that ruins your HQ rate.

I'm hoping the Synergy gear is upgraded similar to AF gear through Limbus, as for the Cuffs, i'm not sure :/

Well it looks like Synergy is not coming at the end of november. I really dislike when SE give us a tentative date like this, its better if they just keep the mouth close and tell us too look forward to synergy in the future.

Aside from that, I want too discuss the manipulation of evolith stones. SE said crafters will have the power too convert evoliths stones into stat units, and furthermore we will be able to attach/remove these stones to both weapons and armor. This new system will have people coming to crafters to develop there stones. How should we go about this? Meaning what should be a standard unit of pay for converting a person's evolith stone into a stat unit? and What should be a standard unit of pay for the attachment/removal process of these stones?

Please discuss your ideas:

Now that they released it, I think I understand. Normal +skill gear is pointless. Recipes demand a crafting RANK, so as long as someone is present in your party with that rank, it should work. It doesn't matter if you are a 50 skill Journeyman or a 60 skill Journeyman, as long as you are ranked as Journeyman.

Actually, skill does have an effect in addition to rank. One of the basic synergy recipes is orange juice, which is cooking 10, and listed as recruit. My cooking was 9, and still amateur, so I couldn't make it.

I went to the guild and ranked up to recruit and tried again. Still couldn't make it. So I went and snagged some sardines to skill cooking, and as soon as I hit 10, tried again and could do the synergy.

So it seems that levels of recipes in normal crafts are the absolute minimum for being allowed to do the same in synergy. But yea, I assume so long as someone meets the requirements you can do it.

Not true. I was Level 29 Cooking Novice. Could not do the Pineapple juice synth until I had ranked up to 31, since Novice is considered 31-40.

Yagudo Drinks call for "craftsman" rank cooking, mine is capped at "Journeyman". I can still make the drinks with synergy.

Err, that is, BorganCakes is correct.

as long as you have taken the test to get the next rank, you are ok, even if you do not actually have the skill cap itself. I had issues making juices because my cooking was 11, i took it to 19, took test and voila.

Did you try to do synergy before you took the test?

As I see it, you did the following:

Attempted synergy as a level 11 Recruit.

Failed.

Became a level 19 Initiate.

Success.

That's two variables that changed.

To make it clear what I was trying to say. The pineapple juice for Synergy on Wiki is listed as Initiate (21-30). Novice is considered 31-40 on the craft levels. I had taken the test already and was ranked Novice, but skill was only 29. It told me "You cooking skill is way underleveled to make this synth." or something similar to that. So I assume the Pineapple Juice should be listed as needing Novice skill to synth.

Anyway, I did some Meatball synths to hit 31, went back to the furnance, and it allowed me to make the juice.

So if the juice needed Novice skill, and I WAS Novice at 29 skill level, but I couldn't synth it until I was actually in the Novice skill level of 31.
Leads me to believe you need the correct skill level to go with the skill rank it self to make synths.

Hope this is clear and helps some.
