I remember a post in here year and years ago with an experiment on whether or not stats susch as Int and Mnd affected crafting skillups and HQ rates. Anyone remember that post or have a link to it?

Dont have a link but I remember it.
The hidden Luck stat increases all success and HQ rates.
The only known item (beside the Lucky Egg and 4-Leaf Korin Bud) to give a luck+ is the Tsahyan Mask.
I happen to have a few of these for sale if you want to buy one.

Obviously its CHR... the more charismatic you are the more "excited" the crystal gets, which gives the HQ animation. duh...

LOL no seriously, i wanted to reread the post to compile it together in my "this sh*t doesn't work" guide for people in my LS and wanted to back that up with some data and i remembered there was in that post.
however, one would think, logically, that it should, i mean youre trying to "learn" something when skilling up... so INT yeah.... But then again SE and their twisted views lol.

Well, it would be INT for Ice Crystals, but STR for Fire Crystals.

I'm banging my head because people actually think that stats will help them with crafting.
If you've read other topics, you probably came across the vanadial season theory for better drop rates.

Never farm on 7/17 in Vanadiel time! Took me over an hour to get a key last night in Fei'Yin for the nice JP group that was taking my Ore Golems til I offered to help ...

Lol, I'll keep that in mind. The more i talk to others on my server the more and more i get all kinds of theories to add to the list. Such ones are:
Barspells used during crafting
Elemental staves
Areas in which to craft
I even heard from one guy that he believes that each item used in crafting has a hidden "quality" value and that, it is that value that determines your breakages.

Not sure about a post on Allakahazam but when i saw Your comment i remembered about a Guy that used to be in TheCraft Linkshell when it was still around, he had started on what appears to have been well thought out experiments for Crafting although i can't find the specefic data the result that he come up with and stated was that except for the Crafting Tiers Crafting is just very random. I dug up his email on TheCraft forum and sent a message asking about the experiments but i'm not sure he's still playing or will answer the Message at all. But i figured i'd pass on what I Could if i get more detail i'll post it here.
