Fish Strength PC vs PS2Follow

I had to take my pc to the shop recently, and in the meantime I used my Playstation 2 while I fished.

I fished outside Bastok Mines along the shore. There I caught Gold Lobsters, Bastore Breams and Ogre Eels. I had no problem at all catching them. I never lost a catch nor broke a rod. I used a Halycon fishing rod and used a sinking minnow for bait. I level'd from 32-38 on these fish while my pc was in the shop. This happened over several weeks time.

Now that I have my pc back, I can't catch these fish. I am using the exact same fishing pole and the exact same bait. I am also standing in the same spot where I fished before. I even went as far as buying a new PC controller thinking that maybe it was my numberpad on my keyboard which was causing me not to catch the fish, but the controller didn't help either.

I am wondering if there is a difference between fishing on a pc using the numberpad and the playstation 2 controller as far as the fish gauge strength speed is concerned.

I think both of these should be the same. No matter if you are fishing on a PC or a playstation 2 or an Xbox360, the gauge of the fish's strength should remain the same, and the fish should be able to be caught the same.

There is a very large difference between the PC and the playstation 2 when it comes to catching fish. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yeah, I noticed it is soon as I switched to PC. The same goes for a lot of other players.

I was catching Titans without any problems on PS2. Now I have to run something in the background to lag myself. Shamefully I use my daughters PixieHollow game to do the trick.

It's because the fish is Client side.

If you 'slow down' your PC to PS2 levels then the fish on PC become easier. The easiest way i've found to do this is to run a Movi/TVshow in the background. This will slow down your FPS (I aim for under 15 FPS some suggest 10) and make the fish easier to catch.

As for the Not breaking Rod/line thats just pure luck. PC/PS2 has no effect on that at all.

I have a laptop and a desktop. They both will reel in the fish differently for me.

I use a controller on one and a keyboard on the other. There is a big difference.

I think the previous poster is right about lag.
