OK finally got my LU and now I want to skill and fish for profit but only level 26. I asked last week on just skill but now that i have my Lu I am guessing I can make some cash too. What do any of you suggest? I am thinking the ferry with sliced cod...

Congrats on obtaining the rod. I would alternate between ferry and SSG. Make sure to always check the NPC on boat prior to synthing a broken rod. I learned the hard way that you don't get them back. ><;

I'll assume your in the 50's fishing. If so I recommend heading down to Windy and fish off the cliffs (west sab). Use Lu Shang and Minnow. You'll catch tons of Bluefish. Bastore Bream, Bladefish and a few Gold Lobster with that rig setup. Should be pretty safe being level 26 there for you.

Bluetail move pretty fast, Lobster is a good thing to hold on to, until it is required for guild points. Then just park yourself in front of the Fishing Guild Price the lobster at a x4 markup. They will all sell.

Bream doesn't move on my server but they vendor for a high amount of gil, as does Bluetail if you need fast cash.

Edit: Also grats on the rod! I obtained mine on April 15th. A day hasn't past that I didn't use it.
