I started fishing last night and after catching 8 fish and some rusty leggings all I would get were you didn't catch anything messages. That was in North San D'Oria. So I zoned to Port and same thing just "you didn't catch anything" messages. I checked my bait and I still had some equipped. My fishing skill is still at 0, but I'm wearing all the level 1 fishing gear. I was catching Moat carp and Tricolored carp using a Halcyon rod.
Was I doing something wrong? I kept getting the same message for over 30 minutes.

were u fishing on a job under level 20?
if so, if you have bothered to read any of the other 5 threads about fishing on the first page on this very forum you would know the answer to your question.
fishing fatigue kicks in after 10 or so fish if you are under level 20. so can only fish up to 10 per day.
the cap will be raised to 200 per day on lvl 20 or higher jobs.
