1. Can I make money with a high lv in x craft?
A: Yes! No matter what craft you choose, you can always make money with HQ synths. Compare the cost of ingredients for, say, a Heko Obi, then look at how much more you make with a HQ! It requires a fairly high level, but it pays off in the long run.
2. What can I use to get from x level to y level in x craft with profit?
A: Allakhazam has a section with a complete list on synths for every craft. Because the prices of items you synth depends on your server economy, this isn't something we can help you that much with. Just take a look for what caps to 8 levels (that's where I stop looking for a leveling synth, and it usually results in too many breaks afterwards) above your current crafting level, compare the price of the ingredients with your finished product, and see what makes profit.
3. What can I use to get from x level to y level in x craft?
A: Popsi made a great thread with links to guides/information about every craft. If the guides don't have the levels you are looking for, go to the complete list of synths on Alla, and see what caps around 8 levels (where I stop) above your current level in synth, and try using those synths.
4. How far will x amount of gil get me in x craft?
A: Popsi has yet another sticky that gives approx. amount of gil to get to level 60 in each craft. Again, we don't really know how far it will get you, as that depends on your server economy, so start crafting!
5. What can I make at x level in x craft for profit?
A: Again, server economys make it hard for us to tell you. Use Alla's synth list and see what you can do.
6. What craft should I level for the most porfit?
A: Again, that depends on server economy. You're better off choosing a craft that will complement the job you wish to take to lv75, and going hog wild on that craft. Goldsmithing, which takes a *lot* to level up on, can make you a Rockefeller at high levels, but a craft like Cooking, which is extremely cheap to level, can be very handy out in the field when you're battling.
7. What craft is best to level with my current job?
A: That all depends.
[li]Bonecraft: Useful for any job that uses harnesses. Looking at the Bonecrafting synth list, that's what a lot of the synths are mainly harness armor.
[li]Cooking: Useful for any job. You can get it up to 40, bring the ingredients for mithkabobs out in the fields with you, and voila, you have 12 stacks of mithkabobs with you at a fraction of the room.
[li]Clothcraft: Mages will find this craft the most useful. 90% of your armor will consist of Clothcrafting recipies. Also, some Ninja tools can be made from this craft, so Ninja's may want to level Clothcrafting a bit.
[li]Fishing: Useful for any job. Also very useful for cooks. Fishing does NOT affect the 40 points after level 60.
[li]Goldsmithing: Useful for any job really, but mainlt tanks. You can make a lot of the rings, the gems to make the rings, the lizard armor set, Guns, weapons, earrings, etc.
[li]Leathercraft: Useful for melee. You can make a lot of armor with this craft (and I mean a LOT.)
[li]Smithing: Useful for melee. A lot of what you make in synthing is arrowheads, or weapons.
[li]Woodworking: Very useful for rangers. All of your ways of making arrows, bolts, bows, and crossbows will be made with this craft.
8. What can I use to level my fishing after x level?
A: Mystery Tour has a great section for fishing that includes what fish cap at what level, what type of water you can catch them in, and what lures/bait are good to catch them with.
9. Why dosen't SE do anything when I tell them about a fishing bot?!
A: Because what you believe is a fishing bot isn't always a fishing bot. Although there ARE cases where people really are botting, there's just as many, if not more, cases where people are falsely accused of botting.
10. How can I garden and what can I grow with gardening?
A: Pikko has a very nice site with a LOT of recipes for gardening, when the best to plant/harvest/feed the plants is, what type of pot the items grow best in, and what type of plant can give you what items.
11. What is the synth to cause HQs/what increases chanced of HQs?
A: The synth to cause HQs is the exact same as the normal synth, but you need to be many levels higher then the cap (I believe that 30 levels higher is the main recommended amount, any higher levels only increase your chances.
We're not really 100% sure what increases chances of HQs. We believe that things like a full moon (or is it new moon? I can't quite remember) and darksday increase your chances by a small amount.
