Cover - Joke or Misunderstanding? Follow

So I just came back from a very long hiatus.

I used to enjoy that cover was actually useful in FFXIV, given how awful it had been in FFXI.

So... then I logged in and unlocked Paladin.

Oh hey, looks like I have cover again...

It's the first Paladin ability!
Must be pretty important then!
I wonder if they buffed it?





So I'm just double checking to make sure I'm reading the new ability correctly. They basically made it more worthless than it was in FFXI?
