I looked up for abit here and found out most weapons would need to be crafted in order to be used.

I am still stuck using my Bone Harpoon now. Is there no other ways to get out of this?

I am also looking up some decent armor that may allow myself to fight through the mobs because i think i can't even survive 2 x lvl 13 mobs on my lvl 15 Lancer. Def is only around 90 at best equips i have.

Go to the Market Ward and buy it from other people's retainers. Also inside MW, go to the middle of Battlecraft Ward, there's an NPC there who should sell you another spear higher level then Bone Harpoon. Finally, once you get to lvl 22+ you can join a Grand Company, and the one in Limsa Lominsa will offer up to lvl 50 Unique Halberd buyable with Seals.
