I am currently rank 42 archer and i dont know if anyone has notice this, and i cant find a thread post-patch where ammo in general is discussed, i was the other day near Uldah killing some sphene doblyns and was using warped arrows, i was doing 61 dmg for normal light shots and when i switched to silver arrows my damage decreased by 10 points althought the silver arrow is r33 and warped arrow rank 1.

So i was wondering if someone has some kind of guide or knowing about wich arrows does better dmg with wich mobs, remembering that SE included in the archer description that not all arrows are for the same type of mob.

With some mobs the damage increases depending the rank of the arrow like Toads, i tested with warped, iron and silver arrows the increase is not that much but it really does in accuracy.

Are the arrows values broken with some mobs?

No, but the Arrows carry certain affinities with them, like if a mob is strong against water, and you're using coral arrows, yes you will see a dip in the amount of damage you do. Archer arrows are unique in the type of mobs they are used against and hence, some high ranking arrows will do less damage than Warped Arrows.

My suggestion, keep with the Warped Arrows until the game has been buffed up a little more and factoring in types of arrows will actually matter. I hear obsidian arrows are good at higher ranks but for the cost per shot deal, I'd probably just stick with Warped Arrows until some real content comes out later this year.

Warped Arrows for levelling.
Silver Arrows for Faction NMs/Dungeons.

Until more class balancing and stat adjustments, any other arrow is moot.

The "affinities" spoken of earlier don't currently work as intended, which is why we haven't received other arrow types yet. I imagine it will still be several patches before this is completely hammered out, since they still have a job system to add, and elemental attributes are being removed for a while.
