STR vs AttackFollow

I'm surprised I haven't seen a thread on this yet. I don't have the search feature.. perhaps someone can point me in the direction of another thread if there already is one.

My question is which is better to stack, STR or Attack? - purely for +damage. On TP and WS.

In FFXI, 1 STR = 3 Attack.. Attack for TP, STR for WS. But i'm guessing FFXIV -could- take a different approach.
The reason I posted this question, was at level 30ish (or before) do you go from Silver Choker (+3 Attack) to Sunstone Choker (+2 STR)? - Purely from a damage perspective (I like having more +Magic Def sometimes, totally different thread). I'm certain the difference would be marginal, but is there any stats out there? Peoples "feelings" are nice.. but a little less general. :)

Couldn't you equip the sunstone choker to see how much attack 2 str gives you? If it doesn't give more than 3 attack I would assume you should use the silver choker.

I don't think the attack for tp and str for ws argument will apply so much for this game too, as you won't be able to change gear mid combat.

STR doesn't add any attack on the stats page.

I want to know the answer to this too but it seems like we'd have to have a parser to know and I don't have one. We are very limited on attack gear though, but have a ton of STR choices from ring, head, neck, wrist, body, leg.
