Basically what the title says. I just got this game andonly tried PUG. What made you guys and girls pick lancer?
friend of mine plays GLA. GLA and LNC are natural buddies, look at FFIV.

Long live the Dragoons.
Thats pretty much why i picked it, ive always loved the dragoon's and the job. Lancer just felt right to me.

I chose it because I didn't like any of the other choices.
I was a Beastmaster in XI so there's really nothing for me here. It hasn't been a bad solo job for me so far. Great DD - kills mobs quickly.... if I hit >.<

Dragoon was my favorite class in XI so I became whatever class was closest to that :P

Enough said.
But really, I have a thing for polearms, halberds, etc. Those kinds of weapons. Being able to use one in a game is pretty badass, and I just thought it was really neat. That's all.

I wanted to be a Dragoon in FFXI (prior to finding out about things like TP and Penta Thrust), and ended up grinding out 75 levels of Paladin because my best friend hates to tank. On top of that, the roleplayer in me decided that starting in Limsa Lominsa as a Lancer/Fisherman, with Llymlaen as my deity of choice, just sounded like a really good idea.
