I've tried a varietiy of macros and so far I can't get this ability to work for me.

and so on and so forth. None of my other abilities are doing this. I was wondering if I'm missing something here.

i dont have my brandish macroed. in fact, i dont have any skills macroed yet (might make a trunksplitter+bloodbath macro but thats it really). but im not entirely certain why your brandish would be hitting you. my understanding is you wouldnt need to specify a target, or rather, if you didnt specify a target the macro would default to just using brandish on your current target (and thus hitting nearby targets).
so i guess try removing the <t> part. also, be sure to check the macro guide here and at the lodestone if you havent already. there might be something there you overlooked.

I just HAPPENED to stumble in here and see this thread.
I play an archer mainly but i had the exact same issue with an archer ability called 'Arrow Helix' - it was hitting ME and not the target. Details in the Archer forums HERE.
In the case of Arrow Helix, stacking any 'on your next hit' ability with the Weaponskill - Ferocity, Blood Bath, Raging Strike, Hawk's Eye, etc - makes it hit the player. IDK if this is intended or not but I went ahead and filed a bug report. Hope this helps.

well, theres a patch note out now about how certain aoe skills, when centered on the player (as in the OP) were hitting the player instead of the targets, and that it is now fixed, so the OP's issue should at least be fixed now.

Thanks for the replies. Seems that the previous post is correct. This issue has been fixed for marauder
