So what comes after maple?! No recipe for shortbow yet and cavalry need carbon fibre which again no recipe for.

Turn it into a wrapped maple. Problem though is finding a 21 leatherworker. (And it also says 11 gold...?)

Its more of a problem than that. If you look at that recipe, it takes Soot-black Buffalo Leather which according to ZAM requires 30 Leatherworking. Other sites have that listed as 21 though so I'm not certain. Only LW 15 myself atm.

Looks like 'trickle-down' crafting, most useful items take mats that only higher level crafters can make. Seems like it would work well when the game economy is firmly established but atm its just a hassle.

I upgraded to a Plumed Willow Shortbow after the Maple Longbow. Cost around 200k on Lindblum when i got it but now that more can make it, it may have come down.

Just as a warning to people who are planning on trying to upgrade to either the elm or the cavalry bow. Neither is obtainable at this point from what I can tell. The recipes that are available for elm bow (1x elm lumber, 1x elm branch, 1x animal glue, 1x sheep leather, 1x hempen bowstring) is wrong. Not sure what the correct recipe is, but I've spent quite a while on it and I've been unable to find it. Cavalry bow I'm not sure if the recipe is correct, but so far I've been unable to find any information on where to buy Carbon Fiber which is the last ingredient. From what I can tell it was on a vendor during beta, but I'm currently parked beside that vendor and it's not on there now, so not sure where to go from here.
