Sorry if I have missed it some where but is there any info on this weapon skill. I noticed it is listed on the main FFXIV page. I just have not really seen anyone talk about it. Thanks in advance for the info.
You learn it at Sentinel rank 14.
Sentinel rank can only be gained when blocking with a shield, it is extremely slow going. So you probably don't see many people talking about it because not many people have actually learned it yet.

Hopefully they add it in game eventually.
As for stats, Block, is how much damage is blocked, not sure if it is a direct reference or not. And I am assuming Wield rate, is how often it blocks.
If you look at tarnished hoplon and notched buckler. Tarnished hoplon blocks more, but has less attack power, and does not block as often as notched buckler.
So at 1st glance you might think Tarnished hoplon is better for tanking but the increased Wield rate of the notched buckler can mean the difference in getting off a phalanx or not, what sets it apart though is increased, acc, eva, and crit.

Wonder if there is/will be a way to link your profile for others to see, at the moment there is no unique id # in the url.

Well I see we can find other people to link through the character search.

If I search one of my own characters I just get my personal page though not the unique ID I need for a link.

Ok I found out how to get your own code number.
From the search results list you can just right click and copy shortcut.
Also if you have more than 1 character and are logged in as a different one then search treats your other character like its someone elses anyway.
