What stats should you focus on when leveling an archer. Which ones increacse your damage with the bow?

STR increases dmg to bow
Dex increases acc
so go STR till about lvl 9-10 then through down some dex when you really start noticing that you need it past level 10

If you're going from XI stats, Dex is for melee acc and crit rate. AGI is ranged acc and evasion. I am not in beta so I can't tell you when to focus on what but those would be your primary stats.

There is no more AGI stat in FFXIV. DEX & STR would probably be your best bet; throw in a little VIT if you're going to be soloing.

I'm confused. I am watching at a video from beta 2 and AGI is a listed stat.
STR, VIT, DEX, AGI, INT, MND, CHR and Luck. Has it been removed from certain classes?

there's no agi in ffxiv and dex doesn't effect crit rating. Only your weapon effects crit rating

except maybe if you have a higher chance to hit with dex that's more chances you get at critting.

Thanks for the clarification. This video that shows a stats screen in the beginning confused me, I guess. Towards the middle it shows a different screen with just STR, VIT, DEX, MND, INT and Piety. I assume that's the accurate one?

Most beta testers have proven that dex is the base acc and racc in 14.

It should be. Pretty sure they removed AGI, CHR & Luck after alpha. More accurately, I think they folded AGI into DEX, but I can't recall where I read that.
