To the best of my knowledge, Weathered Gladius is a Gladiator's starting weapon. At least, that's the only rank 1 sword I've found in the shops in Limsa Lominsa. I'm sure someone experienced enough in Blacksmithing can craft a better rank 1 weapon.

I really hope there's that the level 1 spatha. Spatha > Gladius

They have the same stats, but the Spatha has no repair on it.
Yeah but I prefer longer swords to short swords. They look more prestigious hahahahah

Also does anyone know how to get an "Aldgoat horn sword grip" need that to craft a bronze spatha.

No idea. Probably get it from the Aldgoat. Lots of those outside of Ul'dah. West on the road. They're pretty dang tough. I wouldn't jack with one unless I had a level 15 gld for tank. with lots of healers lol
The cost to make gladii right now are ridiculous. bronze gladius has the same base stats as the weathered but with just the cost of parts alone they would be about 8k each. Not on this list though are daggers, Bronze is level 8 and brass is level 18.

Bronze Dagger turned out to be VERY easy to make. All the ingredients can be bought from shops....and the synth itself is only a rank 5 synth. With synth support I was able to make 4/4 Bronze daggers as a rank 3 Blacksmith (I hit rank 3 with nothing but just a few leves). I kept 1 dagger and sold the other 3 for 30,000 each.
