Anyone care to hazard a guess how much better they are at h2h opposed to the others?

I don't remember which one, but they was an interview with SE during which they said choice of race will not play a major role in effectiveness. They said the stat difference in the races is insignificant.

I remember I'd seen something like that too. Actually, that's what I like about this system, now I can really use the race I like rather than using the race because it's good for certain class.

All the races may start with the same stats, but I think it would be foolish for us to believe that they would all have the same proficiencies. There must be some direct benefits and costs to selecting a particular race. It's very clear in the class description that the Duskwight Elezen is adept at hand-to-hand combat. We just need to wait and see what that translates to in game. It could be something like faster skill gains, or something different entirely. I am quite interested to know.
