Hey all, I haven't played since beta, but I decided to give FFXIV another shot after reading about all of the updates.

I'm enjoying the game so far. It seems they've come a long way since launch, and 2.0 sounds epic. The only big issue I have right now is that no one seems to talk in game... ever. I've been trying to find a Linkshell for several days now, asking around in Gridania whenever I'm in town with no replies whatsoever. So, I decided to post here and see if there are any active & social Linkshells out there that are recruiting.

In game name is Newt Gibbins. I'm in the Southwestern US, and am usually on afternoon/evenings and weekends.

Anyone out there? :)

Hey. I can't offer a shell but I was wondering if you found one as I just created a character on Selbina tonight and haven't even done more than log in and than sign off (ran out of time to play, waiting for everything to update, getting my payment info setup, creating a character). Name's Mathew Shepard in game and I'd be happy to at least shoot the breeze and maybe team up for some early level grinding once I get started. I was thinking of starting out in Ul'Dah though... from what I remember it was a much more active area. Maybe Limsa. I just remember people avoiding Gridania.
