A Scarcity of Scep...uh...PlayersFollow

#1 Feb 28 2011 at 10:32 PM Rating: Decent
The last few times I have logged into the game since the last patch that changed the SP and party size I have noticed a major decrease in players. I have gone to Ul'dah and seen few players that weren't bazaars and even the outposts seem fairly empty, as well- and that was on a Sunday afternoon.

Now I have a feeling that with the advent of the new patch that includes questing and the like there will be an influx of people once again but I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Am I going crazy or are people just not playing since the last patch?

::edit:: Changing the subject because that was just way too sweet to not do.

what you are actualy seeing is players spreading out a bit more instead of all swarming to a single camp

Oh wow, I had no idea that people were doing that now. Does that mean Gridania has more people in it now? :O

Gridania is alwaysa ghost town, has been for months now but that is not the case with neither LL nor Uldah.

At least on EU prime times Uldah is always busy with people crafting, runing around and porting in and out of the city. It might be that your Sunday afternoos is not the same as the majority of the server (myself I actually didn't log this past sunday).

As I wasn't there I can't say for sure but there was an event promoted by the Aes Sedai LS at 21:00 GMT on Sunday in Gridania so depending on attendance that might have impacted on population.

Pop is quite low it seems and will be until SE attracts people back to the game I think.

Not sure if it had anything to do with the patch really, just the momentum of disinterest in the game at the time.

Besaid still ranks among the top reputable servers I think though.
