Looking to switch to this serverFollow

Hi, I'm currently on Mysidia server and am having trouble finding a casual friendly LS.

It's pretty frustrating, can't find a party or anyone that replies to chat on there. I'm thinking of rerolling my character, it's only physical level 18 and rank 13 pug anyway.

Is this a good server to reroll on? And are there any casual and friendly linkshells that wouldn't mind a new level 1 joining?

Check the Besaid Linkshell List sticky at the top of the page. I would imagine most (if not all) linkshells are going to be friendly to new players, as the game's only about a month old.

I never understood the term "rolling" when it comes to online games. There's no dice involved in making a character.

Indeed.

As to the OP, I think one reason people do not reply much is because the chat window is hard to read most of the time. The light shade on the window makes it so you can't read anything unless you hover the mouse cursor over it. Not being able to change font color is another killer.

This server seems great to me, see people looking for leve groups most nights. As far as linkshells go, I am in a small one with 4 other friends with no big plans on becoming huge. More or less a starter shell pretty much. Even with the shell we mainly talk in Vent/Teampspeak.

If you do roll here give me a shout and I can hook you up with some starter gear for Pug if you wish. I have a ton of Hemp and not much to use it on.

So the question is... Are there any servers out there where the community is budding and seems inviting?

I too am on Mysidia with a group of maybe 10 friends, outside of those friends there is next to no interaction with anyone. ugh!

on FFXI I was on Caitsith and the community was fantastic - I know this isn't ffxi... but a good community is what i'm truly after.

i cant speak for everyone
but the shell im in is pretty sociable when we all log on, and we are still growing
outside the shell there isnt alot of interaction, but somehow im not surprised as thats normal in most games, usualy its only dumb chatter when people shout out over the social channels themselves that makes me personaly wanna turn them off

I was invited into a REALLY good LS within 5 minutes of being on Besaid server. I was having the same troubles as you were. Things have gotten better I feel on Besaid. More people are willing to party and socialize within parties and linkshells.

If you haven't already found a LS on Besaid, join mine. Knights of the Island Counter.
Knights of Silverleaf is a good one as well.

Hi, are there any SEA/AU/HK time LS around in Besaid? Looking for a server that contains a healthy population of that timezone so there are more ppl to play with.

i know theres a healthy population on right now(which im guessing is the timezone your speaking of if you compare post time here and since you are on right now)
not sure of any good shells that run these hours though, but im sure there are some, beseid has some rather large shells that span multiple time zones on it

Thanks for the info, still having trouble deciding on server. BTW, do you know if the game have regional locks? I can only buy the US version over here, but I heard the servers are all international?

It seems like everything from buying the game to registering account to picking servers to actual playing was made to be as confusing as possible.

To my knowledge the only restriction is that the game needs to have been purchased in the same region as your Square Enix account, after that you can choose any server you like or SE allows you to!
