hey. unfortunatly i am not from korea XD, but i started to learn korean recently. and if there are english speaking koreans ingame i would love to makes friend with them.
i am a shift worker with morning , afternoon and nightshifts. So even tho i am german (gmt+1) i will be online at any time depending on my shift.

Is there any PC Bangs with FFXIV? I just got a copy but my computer is just shy of running smoothly enough to play. Or maybe could play off a USB3 hard drive in the PC Bang? Hmmm. Thoughts?

Depending on how cool the owner is, you might be able to get him to install it for you if you bring the discs. It doesn't cost them anything to do it. It's just that no one plays so why should they waste HDD space.
Side Note: I'm getting a maintenance window when I try to log-in but if I throw on the VPN I can log-in just fine. Is it just me?

Haha, yeah all I need is the port forwarded. That's never gonna happen. I explain it to them in English and Korean and they look at me like i have lost my mind.

I'll have my link shell on the Tonberry server for those that are interested in a group of people that can speak english. :)
Japanese servers just have the best latency for us, and Tonberry is the unofficial server for oceanic people that speak english.

Sorry for the bump. I'm in Korea trying to login to the Beta right now but I keep receiving a message that says "The server is not responding." Error code: [11070][-2140077934]

I live in Korea. They blocked FFXIV. Sometimes in the beta I did not have to use my VPN. If you plan to play you might need a vpn. BTW I'm up for playing with other players in this time zone. Server: Balmung. Char name: Zylo Sladek.

I'm wondering what ISP you have? I believe many KT IP addresses have been blocked by SE. I'm unable to play on my home internet. I actually played the beta last weekend on my phones wifi hotspot lol.

Same thing happened during original 1.0. During most of the beta could connect fine. When they launched serious issues. I use KT from Jeju. What ISP are you guys using?

I study a little Korean but I have most of my roots in studying Japanese. Moving to Korea will change that a little so now I have to learn Korean also. I have all the language sets on my laptop so I will be practicing some. Anyways!
