It's a little empty, but for some people that means room to breathe compared to servers I've seen with every ore mined for a twenty chunk radius. Simple advice: Where you spawn in you'll find a chest with some books in it. Grab one and give it a read, it contains important information about the server's customized mechanics and greylisting yourself.

Very dramatic modding up in here. Short version is if you go for diamond without proper gear and/or judicious lighting you will get ripped to bits, but getting around topside isn't as bad as the prior incarnation. tl;dr Mobs get stronger as you get deeper.

When I find a plugin that will burn out torches after a period of time the nightmare will be complete!
I just did, interestingly from the same guy who makes the nice Backpack plugin. Dropping it in now. I think 48 minutes is a decent burn time.

And later I realized you can't read the book* open the chest to get the book that tells you how to get greylisted!

Just type 'turnips' in chat.


*You can read it just fine, somebody is just a derp and told me otherwise.

I'll just give default people normal build permissions but find a decent spam block and drop it heavy on them...
