Well I found out the destructive power of approx 300 TnT. Half tempted on filling the crater I made with about 10x that and seeing the results. Although I will need to figure out a safe structure I can hide in because last time I hid behind a stone wall only to see some of the tnt blocks hover over my head before exploding.

Oh and to give some reference to how big the explosion was there are some sand blocks to the southwest of the explosion that seem to have traveled 3x the distance you can shoot an arrow.

Edit: Well there was a cave at the bottom of that crater filled with more creepers than you can shake a stick at. I got bored and filled the bottom cavity with 1200 TnT. Now there is a massive underground cave. :P Might go exploring after a while but not looking forward to clearing out the mobs that filled the hole. Going to probably keep it like it is for at least a week, in case someone wants to go take a peak. :P

It's best to play around with TNT on a single player game, that way when you blow a up huge part of the world you don't leave a massive deathpit for anyone to wonder in to. Also, the only real protection from TNT is to either create a fuse of sorts by laying down a long string of it so you're far enough away not to get blasted, or lock yourself up inside a small room made of obsidian. I messed around with it for a bit myself. I would dig straight down to bedrock, fill up the shaft along with caves I found on the way down, move six or seven blocks over and do it again. Once I had twenty or so shafts I'd set it off and blow up an area too large to see the other end, straight down to the bottom of the world. It's amusing enough, but gets old after awhile.

What did you think my diggy diggy hole was going to be anyways? :P Besides if you are too thick to see a massive hole in the ground as you walk you kinda deserve to learn the hard way. :P

Edit: Proper punctuation is hard. :l

Whoever cut down my tree farm is a bastard. Granted I didn't have it labeled or anything, but you're still a bastard. Now I have to to go twice as far whenever I need more wood.

I believe that was me. I needed my lava tunnels and my giant pyramid thingy. I have a crapload of wood, how much do you need? It's in my lava house in the basement across from your cathedral thing. Take as much as you want.

I did a little landscaping around the initial spawn. I flattened out an area and made a new tree farm. Feel free to cut down what you need, just replant them when you're done. I'm going to be making extensive use of it now that I've started decorating some of the rooms in the East wing. Paintings and bookshelves use up way to much wood. I've also starting going after glowstone, but you guys have really been hitting the neather hard. I had to go so far to find some that I got lost in there trying to find my way back to the portals.

I think I've been unintentionally cock blocking you left and right. Smiley: frown

I used a lot of glowstone in my base and on my path. Next time I go in there for lava, I'll grab a few stacks and toss it in your MISC chest. Your "house" is looking pretty good by the way. I checked it out earlier and I like the indoor garden action.

I spent so much time in the nether, I have a really good lay of the land in there. I just wish new portals didn't open up where the original portal opened.

I haven't played around at all with the server software, so I don't know if this is something you can change or not. Anyway, the safe zone around the initial spawn area is right outside my front door. There is a fairly large pit where several creepers have exploded down there and i'd like to fill it in, but I can't . if it's possible to turn off the safe zone for awhile i'd really appreciate it.

Funny enough I actually moved it last night, it should be on top of a hill very close to my base. Unfortunately I have still not figured out how to make the server stop spawning so many GD creepers in one spot. I logged in last night, went outside, and was immediately blown up by the 6 creepers that were camping on top of my base.

I have rediscovered my love for Minecraft, but I've been playing solo. I was a little bothered that my only game that I was excited about or enjoyed was the one on the server, so if anything happened and I didn't have access to it, I'd be screwed. So I started a new game with the intention of having a fall back, and I haven't been back online since. Smiley: lol

I did have Shao ad my husband, though, so it's possible we'll get drunk and go on there again sometime.

It may have been lost when the server crash corrupted the map, let me check the backup to see if I can re-add it to the map. As far as I can tell no one has been on in the past couple of days, so a revert may be an option.
