I don't really build large things because I lack the imagination to do so. However, I enjoy visiting caves with people, like me and Turin did. If anyone goes into caves and finds and defeats a dungeon, please turn it into an hub with ground access and basic facilities, makes navigating the caves so much easier. :P

My mine has connected with someone elses cave, I broke through to light and got all excited because I thought I had found lava. Later today I will make my mine bigger, but right now I have to make an orphan watch me kill people...

Just found a huge natural cave, but have to go to work before I could explore it. I left a sign marking where it was, so you know if you have found my cave.

Yeah, my mine is connected to someone else's too. The first time I was down there I got fairly lost and had to dig straight up to get out. If you go down my shaft, you'll notice an overkill of torches at key points to find your way back. There's quite a bit of lava down there. I finally found enough diamond to make a pick, so I'll mine up some obsidian when I'm down there next. We can start putting up some portals.

I was online when you logged in today, but I was in the bathroom. I managed to dig a 300ft staircase straight down into a natural cavern with lava. I'll explore more tomorrow.

I'm 4 pages into that thread... my thoughts have gone like this:

1) This is a joke.
2) This is disturbing me now.
3) This... is a joke, right?
4) This isn't a joke.
5) I don't know if this is a joke or not.
6) I'm not reading all 155 pages of this.

That website is scary.

EDIT:

The picture on the first page from Snailsnot HAS to be a joke, right? Look at the titles of the tabs.

Normally I'd just denounce this as rather messed up humour but a lot of the responses are legit, and it's a real website... or so it seems, anyway.

Satire is fine and all but this is taking it a little too far. Not so much because of the humour, but because of the amount of time that must be spent on it.

They could be spending their time much more productively, doing things such as playing Minecraft...

My main shaft (giggidy) has almost reached the bedrock. I plan to make a giant chamber at the bottom with multiple glass ceilinged shafts letting light into it.
I just cleared most of a sand mountain to fuel my hunger for glass. 10 Stacks should do me for now hopefully.

I haven't played in days. Ever since I was down in my mine trying to block off a lava flow from above and managed to die not once, but three times. In the third death, I lost my armor, one of my diamond picks, and three more diamonds I found. I've just been too annoyed to play since then.

30 page paper? Bah! In may day we had to write our reports in sand, and if we couldn't hold it still while walking uphill to school we had to write it over again with our tongues!

I just logged out right as Ikkian logged in. I would have stuck around, but I was mining for two hours, and well, mining isn't my favorite part of the game, I much prefer to build. Though if you go down into my mine you'll see I made some changes to get down the bottom a bit easier. I also tunneled off into a new direction for a few hundred meters and broke into a massive new lava chamber. Lots of good stuff down there if you're interested. Just don't mess up my stairs.

After about 2 hours of exploration I finally discovered where my cave connected to somebody elses. I was thoroughly lost so I tunneled in a spiral straight up, broke through under the sea... I may have washed away some torches but I made sure to plug the gap before the entire ocean filled up the cave.

Someday... Maybe, I will stop being distracted and get back to work on my own project...

If the bed is against the wall, move it into the middle of the room with at least one block of space between the wall and itself. Monsters can spawn outside and if they are within 2 blocks of the bed (in any direction), they can wake you up.

I have noticed that sometimes it doesn't matter where the bed is in your house a monster will sometimes spawn. Not sure what causes it but suddenly being awaken by a skeleton trying to shoot me at point blank certainly reminds me of how full my bladder is. :S

Just place down a bunch of torches, if there is enough light in the room the game treats it as a sunlit area and prevents monsters from spawning there.

Probably just a display glitch. If you can see through to the underground lava then the ground is still solid.

Tried putting a torch anywhere I could fit a torch at and they would still spawn. I started to think about it and this would only occur if I tried to hit the sac in the middle of the night, not right after the sun went down. -shrug-

With beds, you need to make sure there's no direct path to your bed where enemies could be spawning. You also have to make sure you're at least two blocks away from any area where they could spawn, even if there's a wall in between. So if your bed is right against the wall, and on the other side of that wall there's a hollow area where enemies can spawn, then the mob will wake you up (and teleport in front of your bed).
