Use lighters to remove the TNT. I will check the access log when I get home.

Is it possible to dig around it, flood it, then detonate it? If you can cover it completely in water it won't destroy any blocks.

Shot in the dark, but...

Btw, you won't be able to log in till I get home from work and add you to the list.

Would one of us intentionally hide TNT under smooth stone? :(

When I first got access to TNT I made a couple of land mines. Didn't use smooth stone though.

I mean, I played around with TNT when we first got it too, but I'm pretty sure I just used it to make craters and didn't hide any, especially near anyone's base. And I haven't made any smooth stone on the multiplayer server either :P.

I diffused most of it so far. There's still some obsidian we used earlier possibly covering up more though.

I have probably used more TNT than anyone on the server, but I have never placed some without detonating it 3 seconds later.

I have a ton of undetonated TNT lined along a natural cavern somewhere near my spawn point out in BFE. I was looking for dungeons while I was lost the passed two days(mainly for string) and ended up not exploding a lot of it because I'd get lost in the caves and leave behind a lot of my TNT without being able to find it again.

Um... no. It was nowhere near town. If it had been, I wouldn't have been running around for miles on end lost. I ran for a long time before I got a warning saying I'd be teleported "home" if I moved much further.

For me, "home" means being stuck somewhere on the other side of the planet.

The plot thickens....

so you don't think its even remotely possible, that instead of being "lost" you were in fact just on the otherside of a mountain perhaps. and when wandering through caves you might have possibly reached a void below the defendants dwelling? Which you lined with TNT knowing not what was above it.

hmmmmm?

Don't worry about that one, when you get teleported with that system you actually get placed back into town. Not like that crappy command.

So apparently there was a bunch more in there. I ended up accidentally detonating one, and blowing up some of the glass so it flooded a bunch, and also hit another one down below. I think I'm just going to move significantly away from the area. I do like the social aspect of the multiplayer server, but that was just kind of ridiculous.

I think what it boils down to is that as fun as TNT is, we should remove the ability to generate it at will. It seems to just cause more issues than it helps.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can ban items from the server. So it's the risk of TNT or the loss of generating needed items at will

My one attempt at a random multiplayer game saw my entire log cabin go up in flames Smiley: glare. But I didn't enjoy it all that much anyway, as invincibility gets a bit old after a while. Hoping the new patch changes it up... but even then I'd only play on a private server, as griefing will be craaaaazy then!

By the way. Ghasts are freaking HUGE. (Pics about halfway down, NSFW language)

Aaaaand, biomes were announced today!

5 forests, 3 'grassland'-type biomes, 3 deserts

So, do you just hop in a boat and push the arrow buttons like when you're walking on land? I'm sort of afraid to build boats.

Can you sit on a boat in the middle of a large body of water at night and be safe? ETA: That is, when not in Superman multi-player mode, of course. Smiley: grin

Well, from what I remember reading, iron doors will only open or close with a button or panel that you or a mob can step on. I don't really know how that works, so I was wondering about that part, I guess.

I finally finished my house. It's not as grand as some of the other structures around but I'm pretty pleased with the result. It's right next to Tirith's Tower of Stuff (the big lava lamp looking tower) and directly across the street from another wooden house.

It looked a lot better when it had paintings in it :/

Yup, iron doors open with switches using redstone. Redstone and switches are broken in Multiplayer, so they don't work.

They never said the portals would go to a location you specify. Plus there is a risk of leaving it open just to ensure the correct destination, and some of those pig monsters come out and attacking everything nearby.

Well, Notch did say you can create a portal wherever you want and it creates an identical one in ****. So you can specify the location.

And I think the zombie pigs are harmless. The ghasts, however... yeah. And they're spawn randomly near portals in the regular dimension too.
