just so you know range weapons can be used withing 3 meters of the target. that being said splinting between range and medley doesn't really serve a purpose.

here is the the standard marksman/ranger build the third souls riftstalker for the shadow shift you want close quarters combat and likely won't want master archer if you move around a lot like in boss fights and pvp. use instant cast skills and macro "petattack" to at least one of the skills and keep it on passive.

This may be what your wanting. It said you pve in your build, this won't work well for pvp battlegrounds, even switching to marksman instead of ranger wouldn't help. It does work good for evading and ganking in pvp flag areas.
It may help to know what your trying to do with the build. Most will tell you that the 2 styles are totally incompatible, for the most part that is true. You will never get top dps from a hybrid.
This type build is great for leveling (quests and grinding) or farming mats (mine has 300 forage/butcher/mining) and doing EI dailies. I use 2 other roles for instances and raids (heavy marksman and another assassin) both of them pull much better dps.

I would have to say that having both ranged and melee combat can be done but not effective. The reason is because you give up a ton of dps and even more burst. Honestly either go ranged or melee, or get 2 souls to do both. Side note though, Marksman is what i recommend to solo and pvp with, Ranger i would use only in raids. Reason being is Ranger you cant use your bow/gun up close if a warrior or another rogue came in, with marksman you can. Hope this helps a little.
