Brand new newb here, but my first touch of the game seems very promising.
I will probably have tons of questions, but lets start with the souls.
1) In your opinion, is it best to spend your points as you level in the same tree until I reach the top, or to spread them in all trees evenly?
2) Is it better to always fill each traits and abilities (3/3 or 5/5) or do we gain enough advantage by only placing a portion of the points (1/3 or 3/5)? -> Im asking this because after viewing the rift videos about the classes, I realised that they were very often not completing the traits and abilities. I remember that in another MMO starting with "W" (I dont dare say the name) the talents were only good if filled up.
3) I had twice an aditionnal point that I wasnt able to spend in my main tree: I had to send it in one of my 2 other trees. Will this happens again, and if so when?

It might help if you told us what class you intend on leveling and what kind of role you like to play. Support is fun, healing is challenging but still fun, tanking is kind of easy once you have decent gear and DPS can vary significantly between builds and classes. If you're interested in clerics, I posted a few build links on here in other posts. As far as soul points go, you are usually better off sticking in your main class for the most part until it no longer lets you spend points in that tree and then you're better off spending it in your secondary tree first. To answer question 3: you will get an extra point every once in a while when leveling. This goes in one of your other trees. If you want to play a warrior, I recommend Ciderhelm's site. It's very informative. Their point spreading is a little different while leveling.
