Ranger/Marksman build - am I doing it right?Follow

Good afternoon! I am completely new and am trying to decide what I want to play. I ended up starting from scratch and playing around with a rogue build, and ended up with this:

It's basically Ranger(34)/Marksman(32). I didn't add a third soul because I couldn't get it to come up on my browser, but I'm also not sure what else I should use. I just figured these two builds would compliment each other nicely.

So, now I'm coming to you guys to ask...

1. Am I way off on the complimentary factor? Do Ranger & Marksman not fit together?
2. What third soul would you advise in this case?
3. When leveling, should a character go all the way up Ranger and then come back and work up Marksman?
4. Are there any similar talents in these two builds that should not both be taken because they overwrite eachother? (I'm asking this more from an educational standpoint, so I can understand what to do or not to do on other builds that I play with, too - so knowing *why* they shouldn't go together is most helpful).

I'm sure I'll have TONS more questions, but I wanted to start with something basic and learn from there. Any advice would be great!

Also, if you're doing Ranger main then I highly recommend not putting points into Single Minded focus - instead, put them into Keen Eye. The extra point put into something else... maybe Close Quarters Combat (even though you won't be in melee range most of the time thanks to your pets, it might come in handy for pvp).

Both builds work pretty well, it just really depends on what you're trying to do. If you want maximum damage output, 51marksman 10assassin 5riftstalker works pretty well. If you want PVP you would generally put more points into assassin until you get vampiric poison. If you want good soloing and somewhat competitive dps your build is decent. If you only want soloing you want to mix up a few points into bard so your cadence heals you and your pet when you need it, as well as for the decent buffs.
