I have been looking at builds lately for assassins and I noticed that No one was going for night blade synergy. I see no reason why you wouldn't take night blade. This is the build I made for dps

http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0MMi_.hNocLsfVdbM.Vht0hogM

First- enhanced weapon enchantments 30% buff to poison damage

Second- heat retention 30% damage to finishers after 5 stacks

Third- coup de grace & blazing fury 15% damge buff to finishers and combo builders

Am I missing something here or?

A nightblade/assassin could work, it just didn't interest me. I think one problem with it is that you'll have to choose between weapon enchantments and poisons (or do 1 of each), which could be limiting. Also, I don't know because I haven't played Nightblade, but if any Nightblade abilities are used from stealth (a couple say "Attacks from the shadows", but don't explicitly say stealth is required so idk), then obviously they wouldn't work as well together.

That being said, I'm going to need you to explain your build to me. Why have you not taken Foul Play, a free 4 second stun on a 30s timer from the assassin tree? You also did not take Dark Containment in the Nightblade tree, which I think would be an incredibly useful ability at times. I also recommend Blinding Powder in the Assassin tree (though more useful for PvP, still a useful PvE move), and Murderous intent.

??

In both the poison tooltip and the hellfire blades tooltip, it states you can have 2 weapon enchantments at the same time.

Correct?

Yes... but by level 20 in Assassin you already have more poisons than you can use, and it's probably the same for Nightblade. So you'll really have to pick and choose what you want to use, and a lot will be left out. That might work fine for you, but as I said for me I would just feel like I'm sacrificing too much.

I have looked at them also and came up with this build http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0MMip.rARfhsfqdbo.VotMGo0o.z
i liked your spec just changed a few things seems like a lot of points just for weapon chants on yours. with my spec you get the nightblade stun and aoe stun from assassin. but to each his own, I like bladedancer/assassin or bladedancer/nightblade http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0MpVi.Vcbco.tMdVzsRR0dz.V0tMG0Mo is the one I am going to use.
