Okay, so here's the thing; i'm fairly sure i'm gonna roleplay with one of my souls being a beastmaster (there's something awesome about having a beast following you around). So i was wondering while playing with the points calculator the current build i have, i'd need to displace 8 points to get the greater companion. I wanted to know is it worth it? Is the greater companion so much more awesome than the lesser one?

Beastmaster pets Lesser vs. Greater?Follow
It seems that lesser pets are level capped, the beastmaster one being capped at around 30, and so you would need to take the greater pet skill to have an effective pet at level 50.
