Hi all! I'm looking for some feedback from anyone that's played a Purifier during the beta (already did a search for info). I think I'm going to start-off playing this class. Was it fun to play? Just looking for the good, bad & the ugly of it.

Thanks!

Started the B4 playing Pur. But at lvl29+ in B5 found myself doing a 3/3/1 (About 17/15/5 in actual soul points) Sent/Ward/Pur for healing WFs. For solo play I was mainly Inquisitor with a little Cabalist for max dps with simplicity (Deep Cabalist looked too complicated to me but may be fun given the time to learn.) I threw in a touch of Warden because the HoTs lead to minimal downtime when trying to solo level. (I love having up to 4 roles you can switch out easily! Makes it smooth to experiment!)

I think the Purifier will shine in endgame as the best Tank healer from what I tasted. But I only played it until about lvl 20, could have some abilities deeper in the tree that surprise me.

While I didn't main purfier during the beta, I'm quite familiar with its root abilities and tree. Although I plan on utilizing mostly warden spells in my final pve healing build, I'll have actually spent more points in the purifier tree.

Their base crit bonus talent is incredibly useful in conjunction with either of the other trees to help proc other talents, and they get a 31 point talent to help them deal with the potential overheal of crits. Their pushback resistance is very good and coupled with their shield means you can cast freely through being attacked (quite nice in pvp). They've got some nice emergency tools as well.

A purifier is a support/healer. They can't main heal because they are limited in heals but they are great for a secondary role to either sentinel or warden for healing. As for dps areas they are great for group support and some survivablity.

Purifiers are fully capable of main healing. They have have a big 3 second heal just like the sentinel (which will be both's main healing spell), and theirs is comparable in HP/S and MP/HP. I actually think theirs is a little better once it is talented out.

While doing the first two dungeons, I found that I was nearly forced to spec Purifier because of such high and spiky tank damage. The Ancestral Flame talent, along with Ward of the Ancestors were invaluable in preventing some of the huge burst for long enough to get another 3 second cast off. Spamming smaller/faster heals is ineffective because you simply can't keep up with the incoming damage. Many times as a healer I felt GCD locked because waiting too long to start your 3 second heal meant tank death. The shields really helped ease that a bit.

One other thing. Having a bard in your group is incredible. I went from having to spam Restorative Flame to being able to heal most fights with just Healing Spray.
