I have yet to play as the defiant, so i cant pick a faction. I think i will be a rouge, because i like the sneaky classes.

I wanna try Defiant since I've seen lot about Guardians.
Also i prefer the Defiant "look" and landscapes.

Most likely my guild will be going guardian, but alot of us haven't had a chance to play yet so this might all be changing in the future.

As for class, I'll most likely go cleric, not sure what souls though. I've heard shaman is a very nice class, pure dps cleric, so it will be nice to dps then heal as a cleric :p

I will be playing whatever my guild needs. More than likely a tank class, but I will also play an assassin on the side as well.

I'll probably go Gaurdian, and play some kind of support class, still not 100% sure exactly what.

I'll play Defiant for the same reason I played an Asmodian in Aion: The "light" faction always seems like a bunch of jackasses.

I'm absolutely rolling a Guardian Cleric because I read around and see that a lot of votes are going to Defiant and I have always healed and probably always will. Plus with such varied souls it could be nice to change it up a bit once in a while and maybe give dps a whirl.

Probably Guardian Assassin, as this was my favorite character through beta's 1 & 2.
Either that or a warrior build, as warriors seem to be the only thing i couldn't beat consistantly in duels with my assassin.

I will defintely playing a blade dancer combination with assasin and shadow blade. I will definitely also have a bard support role.

As a 40k fan, the Guardian's whole "arrogant Knight Templar" schtick appeals to me more than the Defiant's "Freedom at any cost" vibe. I'll probably roll a Defiant for Beta 3 just to see their side of it, but I doubt it'll hold my interest. As for class, I always main a healer in any game I play...Gotta keep those little green bars full!

I'm going to give Defiants a look because I played guardians last beta.

I'm really excited what they did with the soul system in this next phase, I'm not even sure yet what i'll be playing.

I've played a Defiant Cleric (Healing Soul) and a Guardian Paladin. I LOVE healing, and have always played a Cleric, but I enjoyed playing the Paladin so much in this game I think I will be one. Right now I am going to go Defiant because I HATE the main character's voice actor for the Guardians, but have heard they got a new person to do the voice-over, so I will have to wait and see.

Guardian and something with a Bard focus. Musical support is fun, funny, and useful. Here come the war drums.

I'll definitely be starting a mage. Within that, I think it'd be helpful when soloing to have a pet along with you to keep the mob at range and keep your health happy. Therefore, I'll definitely be using a necromancer 1-50. Once the real pvp and raiding starts at level 50, then I'll probably focus more on a pure DPS class that could have more utility in a group, so that means pyromancer for me. What I found to be pretty cool under the pyromancer tree that I foresee being pretty powerful is an armor ability. It grants every fire spell you cast a 10% chance to reset the cooldown on your biggest, 6 second-cast nuke, and it makes the next cast of it INSTANT! As pyros already have some big DPS, when this thing procs, its GG.

I could also make a marks/ranger and utilize their range and movement speed bonuses to be a master hit and run person. Combined with either a Riftstalker's 15meter blink ability, or an Assasins stealth ability, they can do some serious kiting and hit-and-run, while still capable of soloing capably and putting out solid DPS for groups.

Can't say what class yet. Whatever I end up choosing it will be something that can tank but there are so many options and combinations of options that I'll have to experiment and find something that suits. Undecided on faction, too. I really like the music that plays in the video for Sanctum. Reminds me of the camp music for DA:O. <3 orchestral/choral stuff like that, but I don't know that I want to choose a faction based on the music for one of the cities o.O I've tried playing the "evil" faction in other games but always wound up back with the "good guys."

Options are always nice. Any word yet on the number of characters you can have on a given server/total?

Warrior, I've always played clerics or casters. Warrior classes in this game seem so insanely fun. I can't wait!

It will definitely be a mage with some sort of pet soul and then a CC soul as secondary. The reasoning is that the combination makes for a very powerful combination when melded together for the player to manage adds and things of that sort while the pet is able to act somewhat independently to deal damage and keep aggro on a main target. A third soul might be some sort of DOT.

I messed around with some of the warrior souls and while impressive, I didn't find exciting to play in the least, could have been I picked the wrong ones.

Definitely, going to play Guardian and Paladin. I just feel the paladin has utility not only in tanking but also pvp, I have to see for myself, of course. The sheer amount of blocking and retaliation abilities, I think the paladin is a great way to play!

My friend was healing himself with Reaver (maybe just a little but it was still significant enough). There was sumthing that turns damage into health and spreads his DoTs into aoe's (therefore more DPS therefore more health. I don't know the abilities though.... I think my warlock friend actually did most of the healing that round besides that (we had a cleric too).

Ok it is really insane of me i know but i just cant make up my mind so im gonna try 2...at the same time. maybe ill find boxing isnt really feasable in this game and one will fall by the wayside, but i really enjoy the versatality boxing gives me and am quite sucessful at it. If i start out right from the beginning there will be none of this having to catch my duel companion up later down the road. I made all 4 classes in beta and i most enjoyed my rogue - nightstalker/ranja/&? and my Cleric - druid/justicar/&? Im going to fiddle a bit with my 3rd specialization until i find exactly what i want to go with them, like determining what healing specialist goes best with those for the cleric. As to faction gee decisions decisions...leaning towards Defiant but its not written in stone. it really depends on who i make friends with waiting for the game to launch!

I am planning on having a Guardian Cleric. I have been playing with the roll builder, but not sure what classes I want to focus on first. Sentinel seems to be along the lines of my idea of a traditional cleric, so I guess that will be in the mix.

In the last phase I played an Eth Ranger and my second role was a Riftstalker and it was a pleasant surprise to play a non sword and board tank class. I was completely blown away when I went and did Iron Tombs as an evasion tank. It was a blast. As soon as I'm able to pre-order the game directly from Trion I will be purchasing it. Rift is definitely a refreshing take on the class system and I like some of the elements that it's taken from other mmo's.
