Okay, wait.

Now that so many players are well-geared, having just Torment 6 isn’t enough. That’s only equivalent to Greater Rift 25 and lots of players can just steamroll T6 in a few minutes, with no difficulty or danger.
Does that mean that your current difficulty level has no bearing on greater rift difficulty?

Yep. Greater Rifts (as well as the Trial Realm) scale independently from your chosen difficulty setting.

Interesting. I had assumed that Rift 1 was some baseline based on the current difficulty(if a bit lower than the current difficulty setting) and got higher.

This shows the approximate corresponding difficulty to the different Greater Rift levels. Could not find anything on the Trial Realm but I don't think it scales exactly the same.

Ah, nice. Time to take my Wizard into T3 then. Crusader is either T1 or T2 based on her G Rift ability.

Oi, people didn't know that about G.Rifts? It is why you can find so many parties in T6, T6 doesn't effect the difficulty.

It's surprisingly difficult to find that info. It's one of those things that no one bothers to mention because "everyone knows it already".

I found Whimsyland. Smiley: grin

I'm still digging through my bag of goodies I collected there.

That sounds like a major Hydra nerf, though I haven't done the math to decide whether the boost it now gets to attack speed makes up for it. Gut reaction still says it feels like a nerf.

Nerf is probably more likely.

Not exactly happy with the M6 changes, as it seems like a kneejerk reaction to all the "vets" whining about how the set wasn't involved. Why that was the case, hatred regen, hasn't at all been addressed with the new change. Instead, it's basically any other old build, but now with the tedium of having to lay sentries first. Some are being blinded by the spiky nature of buffed sentries casting, but it's otherwise a mix of not considering actual DoT with other changes to GRs making people think they're way so much stronger. And to be honest, I expect Blizz to further nerf the current PTR iteration because some are also whining about that.

I really wish I didn't pick the class seems so content in nerfing any time it shows signs of power. It started with smoke screen, then attack speed nerfs, nether tentacles getting neutered, a perpetual under-tuning of so many other skills, nevermind the earlier mentioned resource issue that has people clinging to things like Reaper Wraps, Blood Vengeance, or old-Prep. The fact Blizz is attaching big damage boosts to the sets should also be indicative of how lacking the vanilla skills actually are if that's what we're needing to actually compete with others. Though, all this gets lost in the fray because, "Waaah, tower defense!"

I decided to go after the keys to make the infernal machine.

I got the pattern ok. The keys though, seem to be rare drops. I had thought i was doing something wrong as I didn't land a single after 5 keyholder bosses but then on the 6th I got a key.

So, I have one key (need 4 to make each machine).

Has anyone done this?

Is it worth the effort?

How often do the keyholding bosses respawn?

They're there every time. You just have to grind for hours to get lucky on the drop. Difficulty level that you do the summoned bosses on affects the probability of getting an organ drop, but I don't know if it affects the droprate of the keys.

As far as to whether it's worth it, I've seen a number of high ranked characters wearing the ring, so that seems to be something that people hang on to. Also, I don't think it has a level requirement, so it makes leveling new characters faster. I haven't completed mine yet, but I got distracted by other games and haven't played in a while(waiting for the new item class before playing any more).

I went back to one of the bosses a second time (I had quit and restarted the game) but it was only like 20 minutes later. I couldn't' find the boss.

I only worked at it for maybe an hour last night - if that. Maybe I'll up the difficulty level and try it out.

I made a couple more runs through all the key-holder bosses for the Machine of Gluttony. So, I've probably killed around a dozen of them. I've gotten two of four keys. This was all done on T1. I forgot to up the difficulty last night. The bosses are easy enough that I think I could go up to T3 and still successfully kill them, though it might mean a couple deaths getting to them.
