Official release is tomorrow but I was in the early access over the weekend. While I was initially underwhelmed in open beta, the game has grown on me and it's got a lot of spiffy features and a wacky, cartoony sense of humor (I'll get my more serious RP adventuring in ESO). I've been playing with a RL friend out on the west coast (I'm on the east coast) and we've been having a blast. Look up either of my primary characters on Evindra (RP) server if ya want to friend up:

Wonk - Exile Granok Warrior/Soldier - level 8
Whiffy - Dominion Chua Spellslinger/Explorer - level 6

Anyone else play over the weekend or going to give the game a try?

I just bought the game. Was torn between this and ESO but my OCD made Skyrim a challenge at times so I went with WildStar.

I am just wondering now if I will be entitled to the pre-order rewards since I did buy it before it's official release tomorrow.

About half of my raiding friends from WoW/FFXIV moved over to W*, but I couldn't bring myself to buy into another new MMO. I'm just taking a break for now before I inevitably go back to WoW for the expansion.

I was on the fence for W*. Got into 2 or 3 beta weekends but they were always when I had 0 time to play. Spent maybe 2 hours during closed beta. Spent most of Saturday watching different streamers on twitch play and snagged it Saturday night for 22% off. It downloaded super fast (I think its around 18gig) And messed around for a hour Saturday night. Spent every moment I was home on Sunday playing. Only have a Spell slinger to 12ish but already liking it more than anything else that's come out recently.

Remember that 1st time you played a MMO and maybe got addicted? That is kind of how I feel atm with this game. I don't know why, but I enjoy it. When Questing ****** me off, I go into BGs and kill people. When I get **** teams that want to stand and pewpew (spellslingers seem way OP then I remember in beta. I rolled Stalker cuz I found them to be super fun in beta, now..they not bad, but totally not like they were in beta before a nerf), I can do my Explorer missions. So much to do its crazy fun.

I do hate dungeons fall apart the moment people think it is WoW. Heck I've not even cleared a boss in one yet. Trash pulls kill the group, everyone leaves Smiley: lol

I've told some RL friends, they have yet to say they want to try, as I do have buddy passes. So I'll keep having a blast without them while I march towards my hoverboard (2 more levels!) and to the cap.

Please don't tell me W* is going to be the new thing. There's really no need to shorten Wildstar - it takes all of two seconds to type it out.

Wanted to like the game, but the telegraphs are unbearable in large scale combat. My brain shuts down halfway through a match due to visual over-stimulation. Neon colors and funky Italicized fonts everywhere.

I really liked the combat. I didn't love everything else.
