First Froakie egg, female. Hells yes. XD

Now I have to decide if I want to trade that one away... or take this new born frog and earn my place in **** by putting it in the day care with a bidoof...

I guess I should hatch my other two eggs, first.

Absols I believe have a lower capture rate, not sure why. I caught one in like 5 poke balls I think though (when he was at like 5% hp and paralyzed).

When do you finally see the third starter pokemon? I traded a male Froakie for a female Fennekin (sucker), so I'll have a stash of both soon. I'll trade one for a ditto, and probably use that to breed my bulbasaur. And between those starters, I'll start trading for other starters.

Smiley: grin

Starting out with a female starter is SO much nicer...

I guess I should probably start progressing more in the game... I'm gonna run out of cash if I keep this up, lol.

Someone sent me a Ditto in a Wonder Trade, so that's cool.

I know rollerblading counts as steps, but is it each time you swing your legs, or is it the same steps per distance traveled as running?

Apparently it is the same amount of steps/distance. I now have a bunch of Bulbasaurs if anyone wants one. Smiley: lol

Edit: ... and some Amauras.

WOO HOO, I have the next 36 hours off~

Ironically, pretty much exactly the next 36 hours. Smiley: lol

My goal is to finally meet a Chespin in the game, so I can trade for one, plus continue milking the GTS for starters. The fennekin I got was Japanese, so I need to use her to get one with a romanji name...

No problem. I actually meant for you to keep one of the Alakazams but no text chat is lame. I hatched a bunch of Abras, and then raised them in daycare in pairs to hit 14-15 and then evolved them to Kadabras. I've been sending starters and Kadabras in Wonder Trades to kind of make up for the **** ones I sent out earlier.

Also, I'll trade an Amaura for a Tyrunt, if anyone took the Jaw Fossil. Plus, I'll still need a Fennekin and Charmander at some point.

Vataro sent me one. :D And a Charmander and an Eevee.

Also, I had no idea there was a trade network on there. Smiley: lol I traded for a Tyrunt, which is cool.

And I've found that "Organize Boxes" is the best option when going to a PC since it lets you deposit and withdraw without having to back out. It's a pain in the **** when I forget initially and go right for "Deposit," though.

Did you get to the fossil town yet? I got an amber fairly easily in the Glittering Cave part. You have to use Rock Smash on the little cracked rocks.

Anyway, I just tried and got an egg. I can hatch one for you, no problem.

Also, in the GTS, you only see pokemon you've seen in the game, but if you scroll down the list of letters to the bottom, there's an option to type the name of the pokemon you're looking for, and can trade for pokemon you haven't met.

Aerodactyl is in the flying egg group, so you can breed it with a Pidgey.

And that is something I REALLY don't want to think about.

You can breed any pokemon that isn't in the "Undiscovered" egg group, which is typically only legendaries, baby pokemon, and a few odd pokemon, like Unown. Nidorina and Nidoqueen are in this eggroup, for unexplained reasons. Smiley: laugh Only breedable legendary is Manaphy.

Ditto also can't breed with itself - catching only.

Otherwise, you can breed anything in the game.

That said, I'm not even going to think about shinies until after I've completed my pokedex. Unless there's something I see that's really worth it.

Random note: why did they make Bulbasaur green? Ivysaur is still the correct, normal color. Why change just him? It's odd...

I guess because a newborn plant is always green, then matures into it's natural color.

Everyone is asking for legendaries for everything on the GTS. I've found it much easier to just toss a starter up there and request a pokemon for it.

Also, I seem to have an issue trading on the GTS for Y exclusives if I filter for those requesting pokemon I have. I have to filter for that to check if there's someone asking for something I have and then clear the filter and manually locate that person. Otherwise I get a connection error message that makes me reset the game. I haven't had this issue with any pokemon normally available in X.

I wish I hadn't known about the GTS. I probably would have moved on more from the daycare center.

The daycare couple must think I'm insane. I leave pokemon with them, and then skate back and forth across their house all day, occasionally grabbing an egg... which I put in my backpack and skate around with.

I haven't done any wonder trades yet, because I've been focused on building my foundation first. I have a bunch of Froakies, some Fennekins, and I'm about to start in on my Chespins.

But now I have more Froakies than I need, once they all hatch, so I can start wonder trading them.

Been awhile since I've posted here! Loving X so far. Always up for trading and helping people out. Super training a few pokemon now but after learning some tricks about getting 5 max IV pokemon from various methods I might have to go back and look into that. Super Training makes EV's so much easier. Now I don't have to use my notebook to tally them all.

FWIW, I've gotten most of the opposite version exclusives via trading starters (mostly Froakie/Chespin and Bulba/Squirtle, since errbody love some Fennekin/Charmander), so they're pretty good for that. Haunter and Kadabra are other fairly easy trade options.
