The code I got after waiting on hold for hours with Gamestop doesn't work. I'm shocked. SHOCKED.
I think their site is just getting hammered harder than a ... something that gets hammered really hard.

I ended up giving in and grabbing the PS3 version off Amazon, and neither that code nor my PC code from GMG are going through, so I'm not too worried about it. Just have to get it through before the weekend, anyway. Besides, SE hasn't emailed me to say the site was live. I got an email from GMG saying it was up, so maybe they just jumped the gun a bit.

Looks like the Early Access registration is down, Click the login and it redirects you to a maintenance page.

Throughout phase 3, I always wondered what that glowing yellowish thing in the distance around Camp Drybone was. Yesterday I downloaded and installed the FFXIV Windows Theme, and one of the wallpapers is this structure.

It appears to be an arm of some sort, like a Machina from FFX.

I can't wait until I'm high enough level to go play in the Magitek factory. I walked around there during the second week of Phase 3, by mistake. Level 40+ Magitek Armors (FF6 style, like in the Opening FMV, not the one from the end of the Closed Beta storyline) running around, and floating eye enemies everywhere.

Registration worked OK for me. I put in my preorder code, got my registration code, added it to my SE Account, it said I successfully added the preorder code and got my mog cap and cait sith minion.

Try both .na and .eu sites. Apparently they've region locked the codes despite the fact that the two regions are sharing servers. Typical SE brilliance.

If you're getting an Error 3, there's a fix for some people experiencing it:

Quote:
Error 3 FIX Submitted by Kaayl this has worked now for a number of folks. "What finally worked for me was editing my profile settings. Basically, after going to the pre-order code entry site and picking your language, it asks you to log in. After you log in (you may need to fill in some information) it'll take you to the code entry page. Instead of entering the code, I clicked my newly chosen handle in the upper right corner of the page. That displayed a drop down, and I clicked the "My Profile" option. That took me to the profile details page. I filled in the information there and noticed that my language was set to English (UK). I changed that to English (US), saved my information, went back to the pre-order page, and was able to enter in my code without any problems."

That was in the P4 patch notes. It wasn't available before then.

Guess I'll be playing with the character creation some more between today and early access.

Protip: Catgirls probably get the most customers to stop.

I just remember going to Rolanmart, waiting for everything to load, then picking the leftmost character and slowly tabbing through and checking bazaars. I'm so glad this critical experience will be recreated.

So what time does Early Access start tomorrow?

[EDIT]

Nvm, found it, 2 AM PDT (or, 5 AM EST).

Hopefully the servers won't be too burdened when I wake up, then.

The Free Companies probably do, once they buy housing. I assume players will as well, once they add it in.

It's more that I want to pass an extra CP +8 ring to my main, and can't send them one. But whatever, it's not the end of the world. I probably won't jump into crafting right away, anyway. I'm very interested in player housing, and will want gil for that, but it's not a launch feature anyway.

Plus, I think they added other CP rings into the game.

Are they BoA or freely tradeable? I could make a quick alt and pass one to your main at some point.
