It's kind of entertaining. Because they're both wrong, but they're wrong for different reasons, and there's a clear intelligence gap between them.

It's like two fat chicks mud wrestling.

Wrong, but still kind of entertaining nonetheless.

But how...how do you read so many words...I mean sh*t Alma spoilers novels inside of novels. I tried to follow Zimmerman, but the amount of back and forth stupid buried inside terrible analogies and redundant keystrokes was to much. I must be getting old.

Then again, it is almost better than whatever Zam calls the pile of **** happening in the XIV section.

You skim a little, and you don't read most of the posts. Works well. You can be reasonably confident you won't miss anything.

You don't, just skim the first couple of sentences, the rest is all fluff anyway. If it's quasi-relevant like the other will quote it in their next post, saving you some time.

I have them both on ignore, and click their names when I want to +1.

But with Alma's recent attempts to sound way smarter than he is, his posts are somewhat hilarious...

It's a lot like watching two rhinoceroses butt heads, except they're always running backwards at each other.

He's always gone out of his way to sound smarter than he is, but this absurd vocab thing he is doing is new. Last 8-10 months or so?

Oh god why. Why must they do this to me. Maybe I should just choose a JP server and spend more time on that character.

They arent going the world boss route agian are they? I mean FF11 was ok for its time but like he said I have a 'life' and cant be on like i used to then. Hopefully they go the way of WoW with raid-able instances. Maybe 10-15 man or something. Idk

Honestly, what I'm hoping they do is go the route of diversity of content, instead of using something like the WoW model where you only have two forms of endgame PVE content and one progresses into the next.

I'd like world bosses, and small group fights, and large group fights, and fights with tactical objectives, and fights that are mostly just tank n' spanks, and dungeon fights, and dungeons without major bosses, and major bosses without much dungeon, etc.

Character creation benchmark is out. You can save character appearances to use in the live game. I'll probably make about 20 or so characters over the next week or so. Smiley: lol

Any of you get your email announcing P4 yet?

Also, how does early access work, anyway? I have a pre-order at Gamestop.

This is going to make you step into That Other Forum, but someone actually just posted about that. I'm assuming the info applies regardless of PS3 or PC.

Cool, thanks.

And damn, that benchmark is 2.6 gigs. XD

[EDIT]

I'm bummed it only lets you see the Paladin armor. :(

Granted, I think all the sets look awesome.

They must have optimized the engine a bit better. My average framerate is higher on this benchmark than the last, on the same settings. I like that they have separate laptop and desktop presets, too. I'll be testing this on my laptop at work today (3rd gen i5, integrated graphics) for sh*ts and giggles.

At least it does still have my saved beta character appearances.

Yeah, I got slightly better performance this time on my laptop. I still decided to start out with the PS3 version, and wait for a sale or something to add PC support, though. So actually being able to save the appearance data doesn't really help me. But I can still play. Smiley: lol

I just really wish they at least had the option to view your character as both a Paladin and one of the magic disciplines. That way, you could check out both an example of armor and an example of robes.

[EDIT]

I'm really hoping they allow you to switch your hotbars to the Mouse + Keyboard version on the PS3. As it is, you can play the game with that setup by using the appropriate mapping, but it's annoying to be unable to see your setup.

Maybe they'll add that in time.
