Microsoft's marketing strategy seems pretty clear.

They have identified their core Xbox audience as flag waving, beer drinking, NFL watching Americans who like shooting games and not having to get up to turn their console on.

They're going to be the ones aggressively marketed to for the first year or so, then attention may turn to the rest of the world.
