I'm having fun with it but as stated above the alchemy is a bit overwhelming at first. It also puts a lot of focus on a calendar which I don't like because I feel rushed to get things done.
Yeah, that's pretty much the impression I got from the PS3 games. If you want an Atelier game that has a good balance between alchemy and actual game play, I'd suggest Mana Khemia for the PS2. It is
an Atelier game, same company same mechanics and everything, just a different name. Unlike the PS3, you never really feel rushed by the calender system, and the alchemy is important but doesn't feel like it's the
main focus of the game.
